What other features would you like to see in the pavilion?
A very strong view was for the building to be designed for use by the whole community and all ages. It was important to make it a meeting place for all park activities which was self-sustainable and open all year round.
Suggestions for the community space included the local history of Silsden Park and the pavilion, local art/exhibitions, and an information noticeboard about sports and community activities and booking facilities.
Other suggestions were for a book-sharing/swap facility, a police consultation point, and making it a walking centre with maps of suggested walks. Seating inside and out was a priority and any rebuild should preserve the character of the existing building. The restoration of the old drinking fountain facility was mentioned several times. WiFi is required for communication and security of the building.
